ABOUT US
Leslie is a US Army combat service-disabled Veteran of the United States Army with deployments to Afghanistan and the Balkans who loves animals. After receiving her Master Canine Trainer certification and working for three years as Chief Green Dog trainer at a Canine Training Facility in North Carolina, Leslie founded Canines in The Pines, in Southern Pines, NC; a leading Canine training service, serving the active duty, military veteran, first responder and civilian communities in the Carolina Sandhills region.
Having successfully trained over 300+ canines and their handler/owners, Leslie has become a go-to resource and is considered an expert in obedience, behavioral modification, man-tracking, narcotics & explosives detection, patrol and personal protection canines. Leslie has trained a 1000+ working dogs and around 300+ Pet dogs. Leslie loves to help bring people and their animal companions closer together through training and fun.
Dorka
Dorka is a retired Narcotics Detection and Tracking Canine. She has successfully located many narcotics, including 30 Kilograms of Cocaine while assisting the Lee County Sheriffs Office, NC. Dorka has also worked numerous events at elementary schools helping children see the handwork canines and handlers require during training. Dorka also trained with the Hudson Volunteer Search and Rescue Team in Lufkin, Texas as a tracking canine.
Bones
Bones is a Human Remains Detection Canine, imported from the Republic of Slovakia as a puppy. A phenomenal, high drive and hard-working detection canine, she searches far and wide, and assisted the Tyler Texas Police Department with searching for a suspected deceased individual. Bones also trained with the Hudson Volunteer Search and Rescue Team in Lufkin, Texas.
